As was the custom, when one leaves the order, there would be no parting words. She would have to walk the long way out on her own. As she did so, an odd feeling came over her. It might have been fear or anxiety. This could have been true if she were human. However she was not. She was a nolo, and such emotions were not possible for her. Like all, of her kind, she was a creature of love. Today she had been forced to make a choice between two loves, and nothing is harder for her people to do.

She would miss this place. It had been her only life for almost a decade. But somewhere beyond the temple gates, Rasui was waiting for her. With him her true destiny lied, and she would not look back to what she had left behind.
